First update in a long time

Chances are nobody is reading this blog so I will possibly shut it down. If anybody wants me to re-purpose it let me know.

Health update

It was brought to my attention recently that I am about ten pounds under weight. I honestly didn't realize my health had deteriorated to that extent, so for the last four days I had gone on a new weight gain diet. Now I'm not doing anything stupid like stuffing my face with fast food or junk food or starch like some people would do. I have been taking a healthier approach to it.

Until recently all I would have for breakfast was an apple, so instead of just having an apple I would have waffles, toast, or pancakes with a glass of 2% milk. The reason for it being 2% is because the whole stuff is too fatty for me, plus I prefer the flavor and texture of the 2%. My lunches have been fine so I haven't really been touching them. Now for dinner instead of just having a piece of fruit or salmon I have been having either steak, sausage, fish with an apple, or chicken breast.

No I haven't been eating pasta and most likely won't start because as of late it has been leaving a sickening taste in my mouth. My goal is to gain somewhere between 15 and 20 pounds. I will be keeping any person who happens to stumble across this blog updated. And something tells me that the people who informed me of this has accessed my private info and found this blog and are using it to keep tabs on me. No I'm not a conspiracy theorist, there has been a history of it happening in the past and aren't putting anything past them.

Final thoughts on the super bowl

Where I'm at now it's just over an hour until the super bowl starts, so I decided to give my last thoughts before it becomes irrelevant.
In my opinion there is no point in even pretending to care about the game if your states team isn't playing. Even if the my states team was playing I still wouldn't care personally. The only reason why I can think of as to why people care so much about sports is because they can't do it themselves. Now I'm not pretending that I'm good at it myself; all I'm saying is that the most likely reason as to why people obsess over the silly games is because they can't play it themselves.

Who cares about the Super Bowl?

Tomorrow is Super Bowl 35, and I just couldn't careless. When most people say that it's because their favorite team isn't playing, but for me it's just that I don't care for football. I tried watching games before, but it's just too damned boring for me. Watching people fight over a ball and running down a field with it isn't what I call a good time. I may be one of the only American males saying this, but screw football.

I'm going to be taking a break

For nearly a year now I have been doing a LOST/Walking dead podcast every week, and truth be told I'm getting a little bored of it. After this weeks episode I'm going to be taking a couple weeks break from it. After a while, if you don't take any breaks, something like this can become tedious. If any of you who read this blog also listen to the podcast that I'm referring to, then you won't be hearing from me for a while.

Lucky me

Earlier today I was browsing the internet and found out that some of my old toys are actually worth money. The most valuable one I saw sold for over $150 and the cheapest thing I have is going for forty bucks.
The only thing stopping me from selling them is that in three if my items the batteries died, I don't know if anybody will be willing to buy something without the batteries. Let me know if anyone of you would by a collectible item without the batteries.

The blizzard of 2010

For those living in New York you will remember the snow storm that took place just a couple of weeks ago, and chances are talking about how bad it was. That really gets on my nerves. People complain that it was horrible and that the snow plows weren't there the moment the snow stopped. Since we did we complain so much? The plows were here two days after it snowed. Like we aren't capable of doing anything until the snow plows come. You need to pick up a shovel and dig yourself out you pussy. It's snow. Even if you were running low on food and you didn't dig your car out yet then you can walk to the nearby grocery.
There will also be another snow storm coming tonight, and I swear if I hear people complain about "what a nightmare" it was I'm going to shoot myself.

Happy 2011

I know it's a little late but it time that I take back my previous post. It turns out this year I actually got some nice things, and for once I'm the one that ended up giving people the crappy gifts. I got an Egyptian pictograph and a katana. It might not have been the one that I was looking for but it's still pretty nice, for a sword made out of stainless steel. For those of you that don't know stainless steel is the cheapest material you can make a sword out of. Aside from that it looks very nice. I also took the liberty pf buying myself a sword as well, but this one is made out of high carbon, and has a dagger hidden in the sheath.
I guess I should have seen this coming, though. Whenever I don't do what I intended to do (in this case give people nice gifts), I always end up regretting it in the end.

Happy Holidays

The holidays are upon us and like most people I have been busy buying other people presents. I no longer understand why I even try anymore since I get them nice things and all people ever get me is a sweater or some other half assed gift. People always use the excuse "it's the thought that counts", but the only thing they think about is how to spend as little money as possible without even trying. Thanks to the presents I had to buy I don't have enough money for what I wanted, a replica of SenbonZakura. For those of you who don't know, it's a katana.
So this holiday season when you get your crappy gifts just remember to get them something even worse next year.

One way which we might kill ourselves off

Something that has been bothering me for a while is why people still use nuclear energy, it's like people never learn their lesson. Have the completely forgotten about the Chernobyl incident or the three mile island? One of the last ways that I would want to die is by a nuclear explosion.
One of the leading providers of energy is nuclear power, so imagine all those nuclear power plants out there. If they were to go off we would all die, there would be no livable locations left on earth due to all the radiation. Now I know I sound like a hippy, but I tend to care about being killed in nuclear explosions.

Why do sports get priority?

Last week on Sunday instead of playing a new episode of The Simpsons they have a baseball game, and on TBS there was a commercial saying that once the MLB games are done than regular programing will continue. Why is it that sports get priority over other stuff on TV? Why is it that people like me that don't particularly like any sports have to miss show because some game is on. I find that unfair. They should just find a time slot that isn't taken by a new episode of The Simpsons. A rerun of one of their other shows are fine, but not during new shows, that isn't fair.

Sorry

I haven't realized it's been three days since my last update, so I will try to cover a few things on this post.
First, for those of you who can't go to The rally to restore sanity and/or fear, comedy central will be streaming it live.
Second, I can't think of a second thing.
I guess I will leave you with the video "Meticulous analysis of history". It's from a show called pinky and the brain that I use to watch when I was a kid.

My diet so far

I believe it was earlier this month when I said that I would try and improve my life style, and so far I'm doing moderately good. I managed to drop a notch on my belt.
The way I managed to do this is by exercising more and eating less sugar. Now before it comes off as saying I went to the gym I want to say I didn't step a foot in the gym. Why, because I'm lazy. When I said exercise I meant little things in your day to day life. If you take the train, walk to the next station. If you usually take an escalator take the stairs. When you wake up, do a couple of push ups.
I have also been more energetic this month.

I also have one last thing to say before I end this post, I will be having a live call in episode this Saturday at 6:30pm. If you want a link to my talkshoe page, look at one of the earlier posts.

Top five time travel shows/movies

I was looking on the internet for a good movie about time travel. Most of what I found was just a top 10 list, so I decided to make my top 5 list. Let's begin:

5. The girl who leapt through time- Despite that this movie is anime it's still fairly good. It's about a girl who accidentally gets the ability to jump through time by leaping, literally leaping.

4. Back to the future- I don't think I need to describe this movie to anyone.

3. Twelve monkeys- This movie is about a man who is accidentally sent to the wrong time period, and after several jumps attempts to change the past. In doing so, however, he ends up causing the events he was trying to prevent.

2. The time machine (2002)- This is the 2002 remake of the movie about the book. I haven't seen the original movie, but the remake was really good. It's about a man who makes a time machine attempting to save his girlfriend, but no matter what he does she ends up dying anyway. He then goes to the future to learn why he can't change the past, but after one jump he hit's his head and the time machine goes to 8,000,000 A.D.
I'm not going to tell you how it ends.

1. LOST season 5- To me this is the only show that has utilized time travel to satisfaction.
After Ben turns the frozen donkey wheel under the Orchid station the Losties sporadically jumps through time until John Locke turns the wheel again, leaving the group in 1974. The Losties on the island joins the DHARMA Initiative, while those who left the island comes back and some land in 1977 while the rest land in 2007. After learning that the group has returned to the past, Daniel Faraday comes back to the island with a plan to change the past, to detonate Jughead, a hydrogen bomb from 1954, in the pocket of electromagnetism at the Swan site to prevent the incident.
It turns out that they were the ones that caused the incident, and after hitting the plutonium core at the bottom of a well, the group is transported back to 2007.

If any of these interest you, be sure to check them out.

The rally to restore sanity and/or fear

On last nights episode of The daily show with Jon Stewart they announced that The rally to restore sanity and The march to keep fear alive has become one. It turns out that Steven Colbert, the person who was leading The march to keep fear alive, didn't get a permit. So Jon just put Colbert's name on the permit as well. This was no doubt planned from the start, but it was still interesting to watch. I will leave a link to the rally's official sit, check it out if you are interested.

Our President is a celebrity

About two hours ago I was flipping through the channels and saw president Obama on. I can't recall exactly what channel it was, but the credits say it was an MTV production. Mr. President, I know that the future isn't looking bright for the Democrats, but MTV is not the answer. One of the reasons why I hear you being criticized for is for being on TV too much.
I know you have done more for this country than a lot of people understand, but it worries me when the president of the United States is on MTV.
